How to Fish It

Rig it weedless on a 5/0–6/0 wide-gap hook and walk it across the surface through lily pads, grass mats, and slop for explosive topwater blowups. Swim it just below the surface through open pockets in the weeds, or slow-roll it along the bottom for a completely different presentation. The Rattle Snaker is equally at home on a frog rod with heavy braid as it is on a medium-heavy setup working open water.
